Due to increase demand from our clients to rent properties for tourism purposes, we inform you of the following news:

It was approved by the Council of Ministers of Spanish Government, the obligation for the intermediary rental platforms (Airbnb, HomeAway, Wimdu …) to provide the Tax Agency with personal details of owners of the rented properties or rooms, clients and the amount paid.

This will become effective in 2018, affecting in turn the Tax Return (Declaración de la Renta) that you present in May / June 2019.
